Our Journey Toward Texas IMRA Approval
Built on more than 30 years of educational experience, The Writing Academy®, LLC Supplemental Support System was created with one powerful purpose: to equip teachers to develop confident, capable writers who can communicate effectively for life. Our mission goes beyond reinforcing a core RLA curriculum. We focus specifically on teaching students how to develop meaningful written compositions, strengthen their ideas through purposeful revision, and communicate clearly through effective editing.
We are actively developing and refining our TEKS-aligned instructional materials as we pursue approval through the Texas Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) process. This rigorous process evaluates instructional materials for standards alignment, quality, accuracy, and classroom implementation before the State Board of Education makes its approval decisions.
Our ongoing work reflects our commitment to providing Texas teachers with effective, classroom-ready writing instruction that builds independence, confidence, and lasting communication skills.
Our goal is bigger than helping students pass a writing assessment. We want to help them become writers for life.
Current Status: Development of The Writing Academy®, LLC Supplemental Support System and IMRA preparation are underway as we pursue State Board of Education approval.
